The Office of the Land Association of the Compossessorate and Urbariat Šalková informs its members.
In the second half of 2025, we joined the Laurus network as part of the SMURF Project. Laurus is a network under the auspices of SMURF, a project of forest owners, funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe programme. It aims to create a network aimed at empowering the technical staff of European forest owners‘ organisations through innovation, training and networking. The Laurus Network strengthens its training activities by offering dedicated sessions on the functioning of operational groups and how they can be used to support innovation in the forestry sector. These sessions shed light on one of the most effective mechanisms within the EU to support innovation from the ground up. Operational Groups (OGs) are effective tools to help forest owners and their associations transform real needs into jointly funded and effective solutions.
The webinars – sessions are supported by the Horizon Europe FOREST4EU project, which aims to improve the exchange of knowledge, good practices and innovation within the European Operational Groups.
What participants will learn and learn
1. The webinars will provide practical and strategic insights, including:

4. Real examples of successful OG projects that show long-term benefits related to sustainability and profitability.
5. Guidance for forestry associations, including key steps, requirements and good practices when applying for funding from operational sources and building strong partnerships with multiple actors.
