The SMURF project is a European project of forest owners, funded through the Horizon Europe program in the amount of EUR 5.4 million, which aims to support the sustainable management of small-scale forests across Europe. The SMURF project is divided into two separate calls – cascades. According to the information we have, which is available, the members of the advisory board of the project are important experts in the field covered by the SMURF project – Brett Butler from the USA, Diana Lukmine from Lithuania, Andrés Espejo from Spain, Alessandra Stefani from Italy, Marko Maki-Hakola from Finland, Miguel Freitas from Portugal and Roland de Lary from France, and also from TUZVO, the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry Rastislav Šulek.
In addition to the above-mentioned advisory board, there is an organizing committee with which we communicate.
The biggest problem is language skills. We believe that we will be able to handle the first grant – the challenge. We are confident that we will represent our Land Community and the private sector in the EU with dignity. We will keep you informed about our activities.
Ing. Bc. Ivan Uhrík, PhD. Chairman of the Association
